

Nikolas Prevelakis

Nicolas Prevelakis is Associate Senior Lecturer on Social Studies at Harvard University and the Assistant Director of Curricular Development of Harvard's Center for Hellenic Studies. He teaches classes on the history of moral and political thought, as well as the interplay of national and religious identities in the modern world . He has a first Ph.D. in Moral and Political Philosophy from the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris 4) and a second one in Political Sociology from Boston University. He has published articles and encyclopedia pieces on political philosophy and sociology, and in particular secularization theory, nationalism and ethnicity, the relationship between psychology and social theory, and the conception of the self in Eastern Christianity
